Priests are instructed by the Bishop to make sure couples are adequately prepared before they participate in marriages. This will mean the couple gives notice to the priest six months prior to their wedding. Preparation courses are prepared by the Diocesan Marriage Preparation team; for more information visit aucklandcatholic.org.nz/marriage-family-life/. When the Marriage course has been completed, the couple and the priest will work together on their wedding ceremony.
